Clara Lately

Clara has been a busy four year old.  Clara would point out that she is four AND A HALF.

This is what she has been up to over the past few months..

Clara's dress for the Lunar New Year celebration at school.

A sneaky picture of Clara sleeping.  She won't be four (and a half) forever.

Clara visited the dentist.  Clara loves the dentist.  Seriously.  She raced me for the chair.  When it was my turn in the chair, the dentist asked if Clara would like to try being a dental assistant.  Clara had control of the sucking tube (I'm sure there is a real term for that) while I had my teeth cleaned and checked.  Clara became fairly proficient by the end.  I'm sure this probably wouldn't have happened in Australia.

Nan came for a visit, which turned into a long visit (due to me being out of action with a mystery ailment).  Much excitement from everybody.

Clara demonstrating that her wetsuit still fits.

Clara in her costume for book week.  She is a super hero of her own invention.

Clara walking in the book week parade.

Ever since we returned from India (more on that later) Clara has been drawing some of her girls with a bindi on their head.

Clara watching General Conference.  She helped me organise the snacks.

Out for a ride on her scooter.

Clara at a playdate with some cute friends.

Eating dumplings made by our ayi.  Clara loves dumplings.

Ready to represent Australia at 'World Day' at school.

Clara with her school class at assembly.  Clara's class gave a performance at the assembly.  I wasn't able to be there due to illness, but Nan and Grandpa were there to support Clara.  There are a couple of videos below.

Last weekend David taught Clara how to ride her bike without training wheels!  I love her stopping method - just jump off.   She is still doing this.

Some movies from the assembly.  Clara said "My name is Clara the clever duckling.  My favourite colour is yellow.  Quack!"
