Clara has been working on achieving some reverence goals during sacrament meetings. She gets a sticker for each Sunday where she meets these goals and then once she accumulates 4 stickers she will receive a special reward. Clara earned her first sticker yesterday, which was no mean feat given we had a special district meeting that ran for 90 minutes.
Me: Have you thought of which reward you would like?
Clara: I want Lithe (our ayi) to move in with us and she has to live with us forever.
Me: I don't think we can force Lithe to live with us. What else would you like?
Clara: I want to buy a tandem bicycle and you and I will ride it to school everyday.
Me: Ah, is there anything else?
Clara: I want you to take me to the pool. You don't get in the water Mum, but I will be in the pool. You will be my swimming coach. You have to walk beside me and shout out how many laps I have to swim.
Maybe we will do the third one, but I don't think I will pace around and shout at her :) This is what she sees the Chinese swimming coaches doing with their students at our club pool (even with the very young students). I find it funny that she wants this experience.
On another note, Elder Gong visited our district yesterday. Erica was sitting on the end of an aisle and was lucky enough to be able to speak with him. Our car was used for the transport, so Erica has decided that she is only going to sit in 'Elder Gong's seat' from now on. Ha!
