The Ganga Aarti is a spiritual ritual that is performed every evening in Varanasi. Offerings are made to the Goddess Ganga.
The ritual is performed by Hindu priests. If you look closely at the picture above you can see four people dressed in red. They moved in synchronisation with each other. There were more priests performing the ritual (maybe 8/9 all together), but not pictured. As you can see a lot of people come every evening to watch. We watched while floating in a boat on the river.
