We visited Chengdu earlier in the year. While we were there we visited the Sichuan Opera. It was entirely in mandarin. We could pick up some of what was being said. Our favourite part was the face-changing.
Our tickets included the opportunity for the girls and I to dress in traditional opera costumes. David and Ethan had the choice of an ear wax cleaning or a massage. They both chose neither.
