Clara dressed-up as Santa Clara as we were unpacking the Christmas decorations.
Some of the Primary children in our branch helping to decorate the Christmas tree in the foyer at the Chapel. For some it was the first Christmas tree they had ever decorated.
And we put the finishing touches on our own Christmas tree. It was Clara's turn to place the star.
Jingle came back to visit us and even found us while we were in Abu Dhabi and then on the cruise ship!
David experienced a little 'Christmas weather' in the lead up to Christmas, during a business trip to Shanghai. He said it was quite a shock after months of Chennai weather. We are in Winter right now in Chennai and the max each day is between 28 to 31 degrees celsius.
David also had an unexpected day in Hong Kong due to a flight cancellation. This worked out quite well for me because I needed some items from the distribution centre :)
We have a family tradition of making a gingerbread house at the beginning of December. We then eat the gingerbread house while watching Christmas movies together later in the month. Pulling together the ingredients for a gingerbread house turned out to be impossible in Chennai (I'm sure somebody has done it but it wouldn't have been easy). Instead we went to a local bakery that makes Christmas cakes and Clara picked a buche de noel.
We had Christmas day number 1 the week before actual Christmas. We wanted to have a Christmas at home.
That night some of the members of our branch (church congregation) visited us for some carolling. So thoughtful!
