Moments from our Lives Lately

Some different moments from the past four to five months..

We visited the Rising Star Outreach School.  A lot of the children in the school have parents who are affected by leprosy.  We also visited a leprosy colony nearby.  Above is Erica and Clara reading a book to one of the school classes.  Ethan was also there, but he was playing a game with some of the high school students.  We also sat in on a chemistry lesson and learnt more about what the school does.  Click here to learn more - https://risingstaroutreach.org/

Our wonderful Primary secretary, Mercy, left on a mission.  She is serving in the Bangalore mission, so we may see her again during her mission.

A big storm moving across the sky in Chennai.  This one was really fast-moving and quite spectacular to watch.  We rushed up to the roof and found other people already up there watching the clouds.

Clara's Father's Day present for David.  I love that her ultimate gift for David would be a sparkly elephant :)

An example of some of the lost in translation moments I have here.  In years gone by there had been a small table and chairs in the nursery.  At some point they disappeared.  I requested another set for the nursery and indicated that we have 3 children who attend nursery.  One day we arrived at Church to find 3 tables and 15 chairs :)

Why we use air purifiers.  The top is a fresh new filter.  The bottom is a filter that had been used for 6 months.  They looked worse in China.

A dog that lived near our apartment had puppies.  The girls loved the puppies and asked if we could adopt one.  David and I declined.  However, the building as a whole has adopted a puppy, which lives down with the guards.

India has the coolest copper serving ware, but it's a pain to keep clean.

Myself and the Australian ladies who have children at AISC.  Since this picture was taken only 3 of us remain in Chennai.

Love your blog! As well as keeping me updated on what is happening in your family, it also reminds me of the great experiences I had when I visited India. Thank you!!!!
