Our Christmas Season

Erica at a shopping centre in Chennai.  We were shopping for Christmas presents for her friends.

Outside of the same shopping centre.

Clara did some serious Christmas crafting.

It is difficult to make a gingerbread house here, so instead we decided to decorate biscuits.  I had some milk arrowroot biscuits left-over from Australia.  The kids had fun creating Christmas pictures out of lollies, or just trying to stack as many lollies as they could on top of the biscuits.

Some of Clara's snowflakes stuck to the doors.  Jingles also stuck to the door on one of the snowflakes.

Erica baking up a storm creating gingerbread men.

Christmas eve family dinner.  We made our own Christmas crackers.  We also did a small secret santa where we gave each other joke gifts.

Clara inspecting the tree on Christmas morning.

Ethan with a present.

Clara opening a present.

Erica icing cinnamon scrolls.  Yum!

Ready for breakfast.

Ready to go out for Christmas lunch.  We drove 15 minutes down the road to the Sheraton where they had a Christmas buffet.  I love the Christmas buffet (in South Asia where it isn't expensive), as I get to avoid spending my day cooking.

Clara wasn't entirely sure about Indian Santa.  I'm not sure that he could see.

Another one of Erica's Christmas baking creations.  She's so talented.

One of Erica's presents - juggling balls.  She's pretty good.  Erica took a unit in circus performance in her drama class at school.  She can use a variety of juggling/performance apparatus, including riding a unicycle.
