We took Mum here while she was visiting, but it was also the first visit for all of us. It is a very large reptile zoo, with a lot of crocodiles.
We first visited an area of the zoo that has snakes and we watched them milking the snakes for anti-venom. It was very interesting.
That is a lot of crocodiles. While we were observing this enclosure we saw a man enter and start banging a stick around, chasing the crocodiles to the far end. For the un-cooperative crocodiles he banged them on the snout with his stick until they complied. Then three (bare-foot) ladies climbed into the enclosure via a ladder and started digging the mud out of the trenches. Imagine having to do your job while constantly watching over your shoulder for crocodiles!
