Gyeongbokgung Palace. This is a location where past royal families of Korea have lived. The complex consists of more than 300 buildings. It has twice been destroyed by the Japanese, then later rebuilt. What exists now is a newer reconstruction that is supposed to be historically accurate. It reminds me of the Forbidden City in Beijing.

Apparently this is normally a very busy tourist site, but these days there are very few people around doing tourist activities. We get to see these sites without the crowds, which is nice, but we'd also be happy if travel could open up a little more.
If you want to make your kids pose for an impromptu photo shoot, it is the perfect location..

We thought that the red colour of these leaves were incredible. I don't think I've seen such an intense leaf colour before.
No Clara in any of these pictures because she was at a playdate.
