Some little moments from the end of 2020

Clara was able to bring her class pet home for a weekend, a hamster.  This was very exciting.  Clara is desperate for a pet, but it's difficult for us to do this at the moment while we keep moving countries.

Celebrating Diwali with an Indian dinner.

That is a slice of pizza in the box.

By this stage of the year the covid numbers in Korea had started picking up again and the kids were coming in and out of in-person school.  There were some weeks where I had all children at home doing online school.  Other times we had a combination of in-class and online.  Clara has been able to spend the most time in school, because the younger grades have been prioritised for this.  Erica has spent the least time in school because she is neither doing the ib diploma or sitting for IGCSE exams, and she is old enough for online school to work ok.  Erica has been a-ok with this arrangement.

She receives all of her classwork at the beginning of the week.  Erica gets stuck into her work and gets all of it done in the first few days of the week.  After that she gets a 4 day weekend where she has been free to do exciting things like accompany me to Costco.  For the past month all of the kids have been in school.

Thanksgiving dinner.  There had been plans for some families to get together, but the social distancing restrictions made that impossible.  Instead, because we all live in the same neighbourhood, we each made a dish and shared it with the other families.  Then we ate in our own homes.  It was delicious.

Ethan went out to get a haircut and came back with a young Justin Bieber hairstyle.  He's now worked it out so he ends up with the haircut he wants.
