We spent a weekend staying at a hotel in Dongdaemun, Seoul. We were able to do a bit of exploring around this area..
Picture taken from Seonggwak Park looking towards Heunginjimun Gate.
In Seonggwak Park. Some of the Seoul city wall behind us.
Clara making use of the hotel pool.
The gate at night and during the day. This is the largest gate in Seoul. It is part of the Seoul Fortress Wall, which was built in 1396.
Looking from our hotel room across the park to see the buildings on the other side of the wall. Those streets are pretty cool.

Clara in a Kakao Friends store. Clara and I both like checking out these stores, though we rarely actually buy anything. They are full of lots of cute items.
We went to a teamLab light installation at Dongdaemun Design Plaza. It's difficult to tell from the pictures, but the different rooms were interactive. For example there was a room full of light butterflies. If you tapped lightly on one of the butterflies it would fall down to the ground. There was another room where there were light projections of water falling from the ceiling and pooling on the ground. If you stood under the water, the water would part and flowers would start growing there.

Outside of the Plaza. It's an amazing looking building, designed by Zaha Hadid.
The kids liked these chairs outside of one of the shopping centres.
