David took the girls iceskating at a local rink in Seoul. It sounds like they were having a great time, until Erica had a little fall. It doesn't sound like it was anything dramatic. She went to some seats, took her skate off and put ice on her ankle. They left the rink to go buy some groceries at Costco. Erica came home, elevated her leg, and kept ice on it. After a few days Erica indicated that her ankle still felt very sore, so we decided it would be best to get it checked out at the hospital. It's lucky we did, because it turns out..
Her ankle was fractured. Not anything major, but a bit uncomfortable and annoying for Erica.
She was put in a cast which stayed on for about a month. The cast was an annoyance, with the only benefit being the ability to skip swimming lessons at school.
Erica's ankle is now back to normal but she has refused to ice skate again.
