Thai Cooking Class

We decided to take a Thai cooking class in Chiang Mai because we always have fun doing the cooking classes.  In this instance though it’s also been really helpful.  We went to a market first to learn about the ingredients, which helped me to understand some of the items I see back at home in Bangkok.  I was also able to pick up some tips from the instructor.  My Thai cooking has gone up a notch since the class.

Erica with rice paper rolls.

Clara also made rice paper rolls.

This is the building where we did the cooking class.  Very pretty.

Erica cooking a pineapple fried rice.  We don’t know the man beside her.  He is an Irish back packer.

David and Clara cooking up a storm.

Erica eating her fried rice. It was so good.

Our whole class.  We all had fun, but Clara had a particularly good time.  She has less prior cooking experience, and had fun volunteering as sous chef for some of the backpackers in the group.
