Plant a Garden

A couple of weeks ago Jenny and Bob stayed with us while they were chaperones at the YSA Convention. Before they left they gave us a present of some plants and a pot, which was very thoughtful (see here point four). I love plant presents!

We decided to use the plants as part of our Family Home Evening last week. It was so fun that I have include some pictures here........

We explained to the children why planting a garden is a good idea and how we can have our own little garden in our own little backyard. Erica coloured and cut out various fruits and vegetables and stuck them onto an activity sheet. She is pretty sure the cartoon farmer is in fact Grandpa.

We then headed outside and started planting (re-potting)......
