It's Great to be 3!

For the past month, whenever somebody has asked Erica how old she is, she has replied "I'm aaaaalmost 3". Now she can simplify matters and say "I'm 3". She had a great Birthday. I don't think she stopped smiling once. Here are some pictures.......

Erica with her new helmet and balance bike. We discovered that when Erica sits on the bike, the tips of her toes can only just reach the ground. It will probably be a few months before she starts tearing around the bike park.

Jungle Dora the Explorer Birthday cake. Erica requested that we use the same Dora candle that was used last year. We decided to stick Dora in the jungle. The ice-cream mound of last year was much simpler to make.

In the lead up to Erica's Birthday I took her to the grocery store and told her she could pick a breakfast cereal (coco pops), a drink (Bundaberg pink grapefruit) and an ice-cream (Blue Ribbon Goody Drops) for use on her Birthday. The next time we went grocery shopping Erica said to me "I need to pick some food for my party". I told her that her Birthday was finished for this year. Erica's response was "I need to pick some food for Ethan's party".
